Rinjani trekking

Panorama view of the Segara Anak Lake

Mount Rinjani is  - with 3.726 meters above sea level - the second highest volcano in Indonesia. The crater rim offers a fantastic panorama view of the Segara Anak Lake and the volcano. From the summit of Mount Rinjani you can see half of Lombok, Gili Meno, Gili Air and Gili Trawangan as well as Bali. Depending on the time you want to spend on the mountain you can also take a bath in the hot springs, visit the caves, camp on the lake or climb Mount Baru, the new little volcano growing out of the crater.

Best time for trekking

The best time for making a hiking tour to Mount Rinjani is from April until October, because the weather is normally very good in this time. Most trekkers are coming to Senaru in July and August. So for guests who prefer when it's more quite a visit on Lombok in April, May, June, September or October is perfect.

The Rinjani national park is normally closed from the beginning of January until the end of March, so we can not offer treks in this time.

But even in rainy season the north of Lombok is worth a visit. Camping tours and day trips around Senaru we offer all the year.

Holidays at the end of Ramadan (25th and 26th of June 2017)

As the end of Ramadan is a very special event for the people on Lombok and they are all celebrating with their family, we make two days off for our team and don't offer hiking trips on 25th and 26th of June 2017.

It's possible to make the 2 days / 1 night tour on 23nd - 24th of June and on 27th - 28th of June.

The 3 days / 2 nights treks we offer from 22nd - 24th of June and from 27th - 29th of June.

The last 4 days / 3 nights tour is from 21st - 24th of June and then again from 27th - 30th of June.

And the dates for the 5 days / 4 nights treks are 20th -24th of June and 27th of June - 1st of July.
